UBU SOUND plays on CKMS 100.3 FM in Kitchener / Waterloo / Cambridge:
- Each and every SUNDAY from 8:30 to 10 PM for the PRESSURE DROP
- Every other FRIDAY NIGHT from 2 to 6 AM for the TWO-TO-SIX SUPERMIX
For those not in our radio broadcasting range, CKMS is available on the Rogers Cable Network at 95.5 MHz and online at http://ckmsfm.uwaterloo.ca/webcast.html
UBU has a brand neeew discussion channel in IRC. Check out: irc.openprojects.net #ubu We're going to set things up so that you can reach us during the shows. So make sure you log on Sunday 8:30-10 PM.
TROPICAL THURSDAYS at the Bombshelter (University of Waterloo) is in full effect. Be there from 2-6 PM when SHAFT and NATTY P will be selecting REGGAE, DANCEHALL, DUB, etc.
As people may or may not know, PRESSURE DROP is the name of a popular collective from the UK. We didn't know about Pressure Drop when we started out. We picked our name based on the Toots and the Maytals' song "Pressure Drop", which opens our radio show. Anyway, to avoid any conflict, we've changed our name to UBU (you be you) SOUND. This website can now be found at: http://move.to/ubu.
